Hi, Denise here :)
I'm a post op trans woman from North London.
Founder member of Spectrum London, a London wide transgender support group based in Camden and also the London Representative for the Gender Trust, a national Transgender Charity. I am also involved with work with other LGBT organisations around London and nationally.
I am passionate on various issues such as Hatecrime and Domestic Abuse/Violence and am happy to be involved in talks, presentations and workshops. This year i have been involved with the borough of Southwark taking part in an oustpoken event as part of LGBT History Month and also speaking at a Transgender awareness workshop event in August.
I also do work with my own borough of Haringey and am presently the Chair of the Haringey LGBT Network.

Trans people reporting hate crime
Hi,
I would like to write a bit on the subject of hate crime reporting, in particular Transphobic attacks and Domestic Violence.
I would agree that if a trans person feels intimidated and unsure to contact Galop, the Met police last year themselves suggested trans people think of this as a reasonable idea. However there should be nothing to fear with the police. I would suggest that if possible trans people need to know who their respective borough LGBT Liasion officers are and make sure that… Continue
